Prescription Refill Policy
All requests for prescription refills must be made with forty-eight (48)
hours or two (2) business days advance notice. Dr. Higgins will make every
effort to refill your prescription within twenty-four (24) hours. Refills
will not be made when Dr. Higgins is in surgery, on the weekends, or if you
have not recently had an appointment. When requesting your medications,
please inform the office of the name of the medication and the dosage, and
whether you will pick up the prescription at the office or the pharmacy. If
you plan to pick up the prescription at the pharmacy, please provide the
office with the name and phone number of the pharmacy.
Telephone Message Policy
If you are an established patient of Dr. Higgins with an urgent medical
condition or concern, your call will be returned the same day. All other
non-urgent calls will be answered within two (2) business days.
Requests for Disability, Workers Compensation, and other forms
Please complete the “Patient Portion” of the form prior to presenting to the
office for completion. Dr. Higgins will complete the form if all information
in the medical record is current and you have been compliant with the
prescribed plan of treatment. You will be notified if additional information
is needed. Please provide a stamped addressed envelope with the form or plan
to pick up the form. Dr. Higgins reserves the right to charge a minimal fee
for the completion of forms.
